Digital explorer (without compass)

A year ago we started walking nearby. Building from 3 to 18 km(!) the distances vary. Depends on how I feel, how much we feel and, above all, what we want to discover. Komoot and other apps are now at the top of the phone so I have them quickly to search or register that walk. I sometimes feel like a kind of digital explorer: less ANWB road map (that free yellow) but more . where was that button again.

Button lost, but movie ready

Despite the fact that I think I can handle apps and stuff, learned a lot from daughter-in-law, Merci beaucoup, I notice that every time it is a challenge to click on the right signs and find out that the NOG app can do more. And then, of course, I forgot how I did it. So, should you watch a video on the socials of me and Domaine Rocheux, make the picture also; I have a red head, tongue out of my mouth, a lot of sighs, moaning, eyes turning and then beretrot to the result. Empty head, full idea pan

Anyway, we do learn something and a welcome guest has also taught us how to add walks with photos during the walk. Experience now shows that we just forget that again, but fortunately there can also be a lot afterwards. Because during the walk my head gets empty and full again, full tours, creative ideas splash out of my pan, steaming and then empty again. And the last thing I need to do with that... I think. Maybe hold a course for advanced thought.

Humming and singing I enjoy what the environment gives me. Each walk has ahs and ohs in it. Then my head is empty, I kind of gave everything a spot, again could laugh at what I really didnt think was so funny that morning and glad I stepped around. The birds whistle, I sing fake back, everyone happy.

The purse I refuse but stylishly survive

When we go for a walk, my dear pack the backpack of his late Uncle John, a handy mini case that runs according to Rich SUPER. I dont know whats on your back to do with your legs, but Im kissing him and Im grateful I dont need that thing. He calls it his ultra-light system . I call it the purse I refuse.

Theres two bottles, two apples, paracetamol and an anti-prick kit for when youve been or have been pricked. Squarers, first aid kit, paper handkerchiefs and his pocket knife with saw. Now when summing up Im surprised that it fits in with that thing, where we have it all with us! If a disaster ever happens here in Deux-Sèvres, we can survive at least three hours in style.

Clouds with brilliant instincts (who escape)

While hiking, there are these comic book clouds in my head á la Asterix and Obelix, ideas that you can place in different categories. I like to think in pictures and always see a lot of results like an idea to beautify somewhere here on the premises. Sometimes there are also solutions to the accounting or hassle on the booking platforms where we can be found. Really great, valuable walks are those.

Unfortunately, there is a problem with this form of creativity: I forget it in front of you. Literally. When we get home and I want to put in everything Ive come up with, Im staring at my love with a lovely clean head. I had something brilliant, but it escaped. Probably dropped through my left earpiece.

Sometimes I get the ideas back, but there is also a lot dissolved in the cloud in my head. Maybe its very nice for me, usually theres a load work stuck to such an idea. He then looks with a mixture of relief and mild suspicion: Are you sure you dont remember anything? .

My solution is to send myself an app to remember and that works. Also not always, because by typing and hiking in hilly area I sometimes lie on my nose. So did this time. But hey, the idea is standing! And I have achieved that beautiful weather. I say win-win (for me then).

Walnuts, WIFI and primal instincts

Autumn has now really started, the walks are beautiful with all those colors in the trees. Assholes, chestnuts and walnuts rain down. To our surprise we discovered that on our little field there is a beautiful walnut on the other side which this year delivered horribly many walnuts! In our living room is a bowl full of drying and I eat them regularly. What a gift. And honestly, I feel like a primal version of myself: self-sufficient with nuts and a wood stove, but with wifi.

Beautiful mushrooms can also be seen everywhere and I know from the previous owner and his wife that there are plenty in the area that you can eat. My knowledge of this is not good enough; In all wisdom, I leave them alone. I love them, but dont you dare take them into the kitchen. Seems best to everyone.

Chestnut power against spiders

What did come in are the chestnuts. My love has read somewhere that if you put those things in the windowsill, the spiders will go for a walk and dont get settled there so soon. I dont know if it helps, but Im doing EVERYTHING to ward off the black multi-legged stains in the house. So the windowsills are full of chestnuts, you know.

Day skirts, hello stove and a duet

Get used to it, fall. The temperature is now even for our doing the fresh direction and in the morning I am digging for long trousers. I put on a skirt every morning for a week, because I wasnt ready. With ice legs and a bit sad I have tossed the wardrobe and the long trousers are back in the front. Bye skirts, till April again!

The good side of autumn is that the wood stove goes on daily. The colours of the flames and the warmth are delicious and without hesitation I brew my first hot chocolate of oat milk with anissers. Its good. Autumn. I can get used to it. Brera the dog, too. It sits extensively sunbathing for the stove and enjoys a warm belly. Sometimes he snores. And yes, I totally get it. If Im a little closer to the stove, we might do a duet.
